Reuel J. Hunt

Reuel stepped into his passion with the founding of Coaching Kids in 2001, taking coaching into prisons and empowering youth and parents to discover their unique potential; creating resilient kids, nurturing families, stronger communities and a more humane world. Reuel’s remarkable intuitive approach to coaching has allowed him to grow his client base to over 300 since starting his coaching practice in 1996.
His clients have included executives, managers, teams, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, kids, parents, coaches, and others.
Reuel and his team have delivered coach training and/or coaching-based, team-focused workshops for Boards of Directors and/or staff members of the Daniels Fund, Project Safeguard, Leukemia Society, KUVO Radio, Women’s Crisis Center, Children’s Hospital, Denver Coach Federation, Denver League of Women Voters, Microsoft, the regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and others.
He has been CTI trained and has completed the Co-Active Space Leadership Training Program.
He has a degree in Accounting and left the corporate world in 1992, after 22 years as a senior manager and executive in Accounting and Human Resources.
He founded four companies before starting Coaching Kids. In 2001,
Reuel started training coaches across the US in several prisons , including FCI Englewood Federal Prison, Denver Women’s Correctional Facility, 2 Juvenile Colorado Prisons, San Quentin Correctional Facility, Mabel Bassett Correctional Center.
In 2010, At Mabel Bassett Correctional Facility  where he found his A team, and what would lead him to his next ambitious fete . He Discovered his passion was broader than coaching inmates. 
Reuel wanted to build ex  offenders into coaches . Leading ex inmates from prison to purpose.
In 2020 Reuel designed a program for people being released from prison, Coaching Beyond the fences. He dedicates his life purpose to ensure people coming out of prison have a safe place to overcome the obstacles of release. 
Reuel is a mentor coach and enjoys sharing the successes of his successors Kendra Russell – Delacruz and Melanie Williams. Lighting the fire in others is what fuels Reuel’s fire.
